At my other other other job, at 11 Inch Records, we’re celebrating the release of “Diamond”, the solo debut by Kutcorners. It is an absolutely irresistible track that explores the best of 80s New Wave and Boogie and features the vocals of Curtis Santiago. Kutcorners channels the sounds of Luther Vandross, Nu Shooz, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, all the while adding a crisp production twist that kills modern dancefloors. There’s also additional remixes of “Diamond” included in this EP from an incredible array of producers: PPP/The Bling 47 Group’s Waajeed, San Francisco’s J-Boogie (OM Records), Kutcorner’s Canadian brothers Audience, DJ DRM (Bastard Jazz), and New Zealand’s She’s So Rad. Plus, it also has illmatic art by the one & only Kalani Fujimori.
You can grab the digi-EP release at these fine online retailers:
iTunes, Turntable Lab, Beatport, Juno, Amazon, Gigacrate
And you can check out the promo mix he did for the release over here:

Sitting down compiling the tracklist for this mix, I knew what I wanted immediately: a Sunday night party from beginning to end, condensed into 70 minutes. Hitting recent R&B, nu disco, remixed classics, house, and a grand dubstep finale, the whole mix is Sunday soulful & exactly what I want to hear after a long weekend of partying and an even longer week of work ahead. You can find the full tracklist after the jump.
